Description

1. Context
According to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees’ report “Too Much Pain” (2018), 66.000 women and girls coming from FGM-practising countries applied for asylum in Europe and over 24.000 of them could potentially have already been affected by FGM. UNHCR also estimates that over 600,000 women are living with the consequences of FGM in Europe and that a further 180,000
girls and women are at risk of undergoing the harmful practice in 13 European countries.

1. General Objective
The general objective of the project is to provide online and face-to-face intercultural mediation training on prevention of harmful practices (HP) targeted at first line practitioners and migrant and refugee women, for (1) early detection, prevention, and response to HP crimes, such as female genital mutilation, early forced marriage and honor crimes and (2) to guarantee agility and adequacy of support to potential migrant victims.

2. Activities
2.1. Development of an intercultural digital toolbox to prevent HP on migrant women, with a Reference Framework for Intercultural Dialogue. (WP2)
2.2. Training of 720 first-line practitioners from the health sector, NGOs, police and teachers to adjust their HP prevention tools to intercultural scenarios. (WP3)
2.3. Awareness-Sessions targeted at 800 migrant women, which aim to support them in identifying early signs of possible aggression, based on human and women’s rights contemplated in international instruments, by acknowledging, expressing and acting on these situations. (WP3) Type and number of persons benefiting from the project
Toolkit Platform – 500 000 online users reached
Training – 800 migrant women and 720 practitioners on health, education and law enforcement.

Expected results:
1. Practitioners who know how to prepare and adapt HP services for intercultural frameworks, with regards to legal and psychological support.
2. Migrant women who know how to identify and prevent HP, including how to legally report.

This project proposes impactful innovations in quality control processes through the development of a system for guidance of operators aided by virtual and augmented reality, and it is expected to address the digitalization applied to tasks performed by operators supported by virtual reality training and augmented reality. Creating a system that combines these components will accelerate the learning curve of new operators and prevent critical factors and operational errors.

The aim of this Erasmus + EARLY project is to raise awareness and skills of pre-service and in-service preschool teachers of 3-7 year old children about distance education for Early Childhood Education, by developing resources, like, a manual for early education online labs including dynamic content which is linked to a distance learning module and enriched with robotics to practice in classrooms as well as in distance learning. The project will also assist preschool teachers to improve their professional profiles by giving hands-on training supported with digital teaching tools and robots. The project will also provide a higher education modular course curriculum, using open-source coding tools and various robotics kits tested for those age-groups. The process wil be developed as a design-based research process, including several contributions from stakeholders and experts.

The project investigates the types of decarbonization strategies that comply with the Paris Agreement, the implementation of which requires the transformation of several sectors beyond energy, such as mobility, construction, agri-food and industry. This sectoral transformation poses challenges for the development of countries and regions, which have become particularly pressing at a time when states have to accelerate the low-carbon transition with more fragile finances and the need for economic recovery, after the pandemic crisis. . The research combines theories from socio-technical transitions and economic geography to identify the low-carbon transition strategies with the greatest transformative potential and investigate how countries and regions prepare for that transformation. The focus of this research is on the type of transition strategies that are most beneficial to the economy, that is, that have the capacity to generate change in other sectors. The project studies the possible directions of the transition and its transformative capacity, assesses the extent to which the system is preparing for this transition mode, and identifies areas that are leading or holding back the change. This research will also identify transformation patterns for emerging sustainable consumption and production modes at the corporate level, and compare them with the decarbonization strategies prescribed in the literature. The results will contribute to the discussion on the processes and ways of conducting sustainable transitions associated with different economic characteristics of the regions. The project will also contribute to the discussion on the influence of context as a facilitator or constraint of some types of decarbonization strategies, as well as identifying key dimensions on which policies can intervene in order to amplify the effect of transitions in structural transformation to national and regional level
