The project aims to support the Institution in organizing existing responses and/or creating new responses according to needs, including the organization of a Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (MHWS), based on the Stepped Care Model and appropriate to the dimension of the Institution. This is how it comes to fruition: The project aims to support the Institution in organizing existing responses and/or creating new responses according to existing needs. This is achieved by: creating and/or consolidating psychological support mechanisms for students; in strengthening the human resources allocated to the SSMBE, also with the hiring of professionals in the field of Psychology and Psychiatry; Implementation of the Stepped Care Model, developing and prioritizing low-intensity approaches/responses, levels 1 and 2, and reinforcing and diversifying responses from levels 3 to 5; Increase in the number of students covered by response, whether low intensity or high intensity; establishment of protocols/agreements with the National Health Service (level 5), namely with the Department of Psychiatry of the Hospital Center Tondela‐Viseu, Center for Integrated Responses of Viseu (CRI), Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth (IPDJ) I.P., to strengthen coordination between existing structures in the Institutions, the National Health Service and other specialized services.
