Research line:
Education, Citizenship and Inclusion

This project aims to promote success and reduce dropout rates in the IPV, through the implementation of a predictive AI system for students at risk of dropping out, recommending assertive and preventive guidance for better guidance, given the reasons identified. It presupposes the implementation and promotion of a mentoring program with simplified procedures and adaptation to international parameters, providing for the implementation of a proximity strategy that facilitates the management and implementation of initiatives, dynamics and perception of support. In the case of students with lower representation, especially Students with Specific Educational Needs (ENEE), the indicators of failure and abandonment place national HEIs still far from an equitable and inclusive education system, which is why we propose to continue to develop actions that improve the reception and inclusion processes of these students in the academic context. Attention to diversity requires individualized monitoring of the ENEE, with specialized human resources, with the aim of adjusting teaching and the academic context to personal specificities, interests and needs, detecting barriers that hinder the inclusion process. It is our purpose to contribute to the promotion of academic skills and introduce adjustments in teaching-learning processes, as well as improving attitudes towards diversity and reducing contextual and accessibility restrictions that hinder inclusion. Pedagogical support measures will be implemented, based on innovative practices, seeking to provide more specific monitoring of curricular units with higher failure rates, as well as CEs with higher dropout rates, and focuses particularly on students enrolled for the first time in the first year, given the decisive importance of students’ academic adaptation and integration in their own success. The results and performance indicators of the operation are related to the number of activities and the rate of completion of the activities planned in the operation, as well as the increase in rates that measure evasion (indicated in item 5 and letter a of the notice. In this way The following results and operation indicators are presented:
- Number of activities completed in the operation: 4/4;
- Performance rate of planned activities in the operation: 100%.
- Increase in the enrollment renewal rate for students enrolled in the 1st year, 1st time in initial training CE: 10%
- Increase in the average number of ECTS completed by students enrolled in the 1st year, 1st time in initial training CE: 6.5%.
