The SGC2 project provided students with opportunities to practise their language skills through task-based learning activities and the use of digital platforms. Students from Nursing and Marketing (IPV), English Philology (UTH) and various courses (Ege Univ.) created flyers and posters about COVID-19 and how it has affected all of us in our countries. To do this, they first published their work on SGC2's Facebook page to elicit comments from their own and other groups. Then, in collaboration, they joined together in international groups to create a video production illustrating that we are citizens of the world, we face the same fears and we can use English to bring people together and alert others to risky situations. Finally, these tasks were exhibited at an International Symposium, where we met the winning group of a video competition. This project allowed us to analyse the students' choices, main difficulties and motivation to persevere in learning.
