Aldeia de Covelo de Arca, a rural village in the parish of Arca, where the rural houses harmonise with the old ‘Casa do Guarda Forestal’ with its deactivated nurseries (where native tree shoots used to be protected before being transplanted into the forest) and the little chapel of São Mamede (from 1656).
Carvalhedo do Gândara, considered to be Portugal’s largest continuous patch of oak (Quercus robur).

Visit to the Montemuro Ethnographic Association which has an ethnographic exhibition on the linen and wool cycle. Walking route through the village to Ervital. Quinta da Cerca Ecological Park, a centuries-old site with granite soil, once home to large expanses of vineyards and lime meadows, fruit trees and woodland, a ruined water mill and several farmhouses. In the distant past, the forest area was probably dominated by Quercus trees, especially oaks and holm oaks, and there is still a specimen of this species, hundreds of years old, which is its natural symbol.

In the parish of Serrazes, we will visit a family farm, run by a woman farmer, which includes 5.0 hectares of vines, various fruit trees, vegetables in two greenhouses and outdoors, flowers, sheep and chickens. As well as being a farmer for over 50 years, Mrs Alice is the representative of the women farmers who sell at the São Pedro do Sul market
In the parish of Vila Maior, we will visit Lafobio, certified organic, a family business run by a young woman farmer. With an area of approximately one hectare of greenhouses and six hectares outdoors, their main activity is horticulture. They also have a certified nursery for their own production and sale.
