O excesso de gorduras, particularmente gorduras saturadas e trans, a\u00e7\u00facares ou sal tem sido associado a in\u00fameras doen\u00e7as cr\u00f3nicas. Al\u00e9m disso, a ingest\u00e3o insuficiente de frutas e legumes, como resultado das tend\u00eancias modernas para o consumo de n\u00edveis elevados de alimentos de conveni\u00eancia processados, resulta em car\u00eancias de vitaminas, minerais, fibras alimentares, subst\u00e2ncias bioativas, tais como, por exemplo, antioxidantes, entre outros constituintes extremamente importantes dos alimentos. Os comportamentos humanos em rela\u00e7\u00e3o aos alimentos est\u00e3o ligados a uma s\u00e9rie de factores, quer de natureza sociol\u00f3gica ou de natureza psicol\u00f3gica. Assim, o objetivo deste projeto \u00e9 realizar um estudo sobre as diferentes motiva\u00e7\u00f5es ps\u00edquicas e sociais que determinam os padr\u00f5es alimentares das pessoas, seja em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s suas escolhas ou h\u00e1bitos alimentares. Para levar a cabo esse prop\u00f3sito, fatores ligados a escolhas alimentares ser\u00e3o avaliados nas seguintes \u00e1reas principais: motiva\u00e7\u00f5es de sa\u00fade; fatores econ\u00f3micos; aspectos emocionais; influ\u00eancias culturais; marketing e publicidade ou preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es ambientais. O estudo ser\u00e1 baseado num question\u00e1rio que ser\u00e1 preparado propositadamente para o projeto e, portanto, adequado a avaliar os aspectos considerados determinantes para alcan\u00e7ar os objectivos real\u00e7ados. O alcance do estudo ser\u00e1 multinacional, incluindo diferentes pa\u00edses, a fim de reunir informa\u00e7\u00e3o a uma escala transfronteiri\u00e7a, e que ser\u00e1 extremamente valiosa para produzir resultados cient\u00edficos relevantes, bem como apontar diretivas que poderiam ser usados em cada um dos pa\u00edses para melhorar os h\u00e1bitos alimentares no sentido de adotar dietas
