The aim of this activity is to provide young people, with or without disabilities, with the knowledge and skills needed to obtain a qualification that will enable them to enter the labour market, maintain employment and make sustainable professional progress.\nIn order to achieve the objectives, the activity includes two training courses, both face-to-face: Training course for animal handlers (CFTA) starting on 6 May 2024; training course for warehouse operators (CFOA) starting on 16 October 2023. The CFTA has been developed in partnership with the School of Guide Dogs for the Blind (Mort\u00e1gua) and the Escola Superior Agr\u00e1ria de Viseu, and comprises 70 hours of training, of which 58 hours are technological and 12 hours are practical. From a social impact point of view, this training focuses on raising awareness of the care and conservation of the animal world to ensure its welfare and future, as well as promoting education and environmental enrichment. The CFTOA was developed with 72 hours of technical training. It highlights the contribution of professionals to efficient warehouse management, which is symbiotically linked to the success of all supply chain processes. Today, the warehouse, a recognised variable that influences the cost of running a business, is seen as an incubator for value-adding functions.\nBoth courses are based on active learning methods in order to promote the trainee's ability to absorb content in an autonomous and participatory way. To this end, strategies have been adopted that include Training and games (typically involving the trainee, helping them to practise fluency and retention. Training and simulation methods are often combined for motivational purposes); simulations (used to present information, guide the trainee and practice or assess the trainee's knowledge); project-based learning (a dynamic, participatory and interdisciplinary process centred on the trainee's learning, with the primary procedure being to make them aware of what they need to learn and to motivate them to seek out relevant information. It is characterised by stimulating learning, teamwork, listening to others and taking responsibility for one's own attitudes); Peer and Team Learning (formation of teams to learn together and share ideas); Assertive Technologies (characterised by interdisciplinarity, they include different tools that promote the functionality and participation in activities of people with disabilities, incapacities or reduced mobility, aiming at autonomy, independence, quality of life and social inclusion).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
