The Mentoring Program is recognized as a successful peer-to-peer strategy in promoting the welcoming and inclusion of students recently arrived at ES. In this sense, this activity advocates the production of bilingual digital content to feed the App and platform Mentores em Ação, already developed within the scope of the previously mentioned projects, as well as the creation of a promotional video for information and dissemination of initiatives and good practices in mentoring. This action involves the creation of training actions for facilitators in mentoring, to invest and ensure the replication and continuity of the program. It provides for the promotion of awareness-raising sessions in the 5 OUs, aimed at the entire academic community, teachers, students, non-teachers; Student Associations (AE), IPV Academic Association (AAIPV), to reinforce peer intervention, recognition and appreciation of time and involvement in mentoring, to mobilize and train teachers in terms of welcoming, supporting and integrating new students. It is also planned to create a pilot “Mentoring Space”, operating in the AE of each UO, as a proximal strategy, facilitating the management and dynamization of initiatives, dynamics and perception of support, as well as promoting greater recognition and involvement of the entire academy. It is planned to monitor and evaluate the impact of the activities carried out in this “Mentoring Space”. The objective of this action is also to carry out an application for integration into mentoring and volunteering HEI networks and, also, a study on Mentoring, to understand academia, within the scope of Mentoring at IPV, with the results achieved in this project being publicized at scientific events.
