This model, which was the inspiration for the project, is based on the fact that schools gather under groups, sometimes based on their geographical situation, sometimes socio-cultural conditions, sometimes on their types and sometimes on audit indicators, and on the schools’ self-assessment through a process in which stakeholders such as parents, students and management participate. Different countries have created these groups, called School Networks, with different methods, and these groups are also managed by different approaches in different countries. Sofia University, Dublin City University, Vrije university are the pioneering institutions of this model, and they have conducted various local and international projects related to this model before. Portugal, on the other hand, is an important actor in which this model has been implemented. All schools in Portugal are in a network and there are no individual schools. One of our partners, Fernando Pessoa Group schools, is an example and will be visited during the event to be held in Portugal.
