In order to achieve the objective, set out in this project, some operational objectives are formulated: (i) SO1 – To detect the training needs on art and inclusion for educational and cultural staff in the museums and the educational centre with students with disability; (ii) SO2 – To assess the inclusivity of museums and the social inclusion of students with disability; (iii) SO3 – To design, implement and assess a training course on artistic education and inclusion for educational staff; (iv) S04 – To design, implement and assess an artistic education project (education through art) into the museums for students with disability to promote their social inclusion and the inclusivity in the museums; and (v) S05 – To disseminate the project through an exhibition in all partners’ countries. The project intend to address to: A) A detection of needs is carried out in immediate environments and with the protagonists involved (students with disabilities, professionals from cultural and educational institutions) which will identify those relevant factors in the construction of inclusive spaces that promote participation and, in short, social inclusion. B) Specific, but at the same time transversal, training is implemented on the role of Arts Education in inclusion processes. This will involve sharing a common, collaborative and discussion space among professionals from cultural and educational institutions to promote more participatory and inclusive environments in their institutions. C) The implementation of a project on the creation of creative and inclusive spaces involves bringing together perspectives, experiences, knowledge and beliefs from the different agents involved in a collaborative and participatory environment. The project also involves higher education institutions from various European Union countries, namely: (i) the Autonomous University of Barcelona - Spain; (ii) the University of Cantabria - Spain; (iii) the University College of Teacher Education of Syria - Austria; (iii) the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon - Portugal; and two other European socio-cultural institutions: Association for Promotion of Education, Culture and Sports "Education for all" - Republic of North Macedonia; and Thikwa Werkstatt für Theater und Kunst der Nordberliner Werkgemeinschaft gGmbH / Nordberliner Werkgemeinschaft gGmbH (NBW) - Germany.
